Prometheus-Academic Collections (Prometheus) is the system to store and
disseminate research and educational achievements of Tokyo University of
Foreign Studies. Prometheus publicize following items on the Internet. 1. Research and educational achievements (Including doctoral theses). * 2. Historical materials. (C-DATS, SARDA, and other special book collections.) You can check the search procedures on this page. For the details of Prometheus, please see the following website. You can see the list of items in following ways. Listing by Author Name
You can see all the items on Prometheus sorted by name of their authors.
Put the first letter of the author's name into the box, and click "Go!" button to identify the name in the list. Listing by Type
You can see the list of items in each type.
Click a link to display the item list of each type.Listing by Date You can see the list of all the items on Prometheus sorted by their publication
date. (You can also set the list in reverse order.)
Choose year and date of the publication of the item from the pull-down menu, and push "Go!" button. Listing by NDC(Nippon Decimal Classification)
You can see the list of items in each NDC.
Click NDC link to display the item list of each NDC. | |
Search |

You can search the whole data of Prometheus by putting search terms into
the search box on the upper left side of the screen.
If you want to operate detail-search, fill out the search form on the screen. When you limit the search range to a specific community or collection,
move to the website of the community or collection first, and search items
there.

You can specify the range of your search, and combine search conditions with logic operators ("AND," "OR," "NOT"). Access the detail-search screen from the link on the left menu, or from the top page.

Community-List |

You can see the list of communities registered to the repository system presently. Click a link to move to the website of each community.
The name of the community, description of the community, link to the whole list, search box, list of sub-communities, copyrights statement are displayed on the website of the community.

Collection |

Click a link to a collection to move to the website of the collection. The name of the collection, description of the collection, link to the
item list, search box, item list are displayed on the website of the collection.

Item |

Click a link on the screen of the collection website to see the information
of each item.
Metadata of the item and the registration file are displayed on the information
page.
Full Item Record Page
Click "Show full item record" button to see the detailed information
of the item.
All the metadata and the registered files are displayed on the screen.
Detailed Metadata Information
You can see the detailed information page written with the metadata terms.
Click "Metaname" button on the detailed information page of an
item.
Relation Some items have the list of "Relation" at the buttom of the information
page.
You can see the series information of the the item. When the series information is displayed from the first, individual titles of the items will be displayed on the screen. The related record list would be appeared with the items in C-DATS or SARDA.

Browsing Text's File |

You can browse the text of the item, when the file is appeared in "Files in This Item." Click "View/Open" to browse the text's file. The texts are basically registered in DjVu or PDF file forms. Download the following free browser plug-ins to use the files. ・DjVu: DjVu Viewer plug-in http://www.celartem.com/en/download/djvu.asp ・PDF file: Adobe Reader http://www.adobe.com/ You can check the list of the historical materials whose visual iamges of the whole text are available on the Internet here[Books linked full page images ]. | |
Cooperation with TUFS Library OPAC (Online Catalogue) |

Original copy of book form historical materials and doctoral theses (materials
which have Call Number and Book ID) are held in TUFS Library. [Reference to Location of Book]button will be appeared below the "Files in This Item." Click the button and the detailed information page of OPAC will be appeared in a new window. You can check the location and the present condition of the material on the OPAC screen. Follow the directions on the screen when you want to use the original copy of the material. | |
Coooperation with CiNii(Nii Scholarly and Academic Information Navigator) | top |
| CiNii is developing links with repositories provided by other istitutions. Our
Prometheus began cooperation with Cinii in January 2009. Articles in Prometheus (TUFS bulettins and articles in each communities) are available for the CiNii search. Text files of the articles are also available. Click "IRFree FullText" button to browse the text files on the Prometheus screen. You can see whether the full text of a Prometheus article is available or not by CiNii search. You can access "IRFree FullText" at any time from any terminal, since its access is unrestricted. ※The cooperated data are revised periodically. Search Prometheus directly to check the latest information. | |

| Prometheus cooperates also with Google, JAIRO, OAIster and other search services in addition to CiNii.
You can search Prometheus data with each services. ※Cooperated search services other than Google are listed at the bottom of the front page. ※The cooperated data are revised periodically. Search Prometheus directly to check the latest information. |

Statistics of Access |

The author of the registered areticle can see the statistics of the access
to the the registered items.
Click "Access Statistics" in the "mypage" (My Dspace).
(Only full-time teachres can access My Dspace. Those teachers can access the page with your ICC account and password issued by Information Collaboration Center)
